One of the best-known Spanish fluorite locality, the Berbes mining area near Ribadesella, Asturias, has been a favourite of Spanish fluorite collectors for producing glassy specimens with striking coloured zonings, often appearing in beautiful shades of purple, violet and lilac, and in some rare examples, pink or blue, alongside contrasting white barite, quartz or calcite.

This Berbes fluorite corner has everything going for it- thick, beautiful bevelled edges, sweet violet colours and lots and lots of neat zonings that are so mesmerising… there’s even blue zonings!

A cute Auglaize Fluorite featuring a deep purple cube at the centre of a mini cave-like formation, with distinct purple zoning within the crystal. The crystals surrounding the cube are shiny and iridescent, catching the light beautifully and contrasting nicely with the purple focal crystal.

The water-clear clarity of the best Emilio fluorites can be hard to capture on camera, simply because the crystals are so transparent, one can see through it to see the matrix underneath or other crystals that grew alongside.
The highlight of this specimen is undoubtedly the completely perfect crystal that sits front and centre. The beautifully formed, bevelled-edged, jewel-like fluorite crystal is completely damage-free, smooth, gemmy and clear on all sides, so clear that you can see the micro chalcopyrite crystals within.

Despite most Llamas Quarry finds being on the smaller side, usually with just one or two fluorite crystals, this specimen is generously and fully covered with the characteristic bevelled edged, tabular crystals Llamas Quarry is known for. Despite its quantity, the quality holds fast— most of the crystals are clear, glassy and lustrous, some with beautiful zonings. Some of the crystals even grow together to form a shape resembling a heart. Under different lighting, the specimen appears to be soft plum pink to violet purple colours.
