The highest peak in Europe at 4807m, Mont Blanc is located in the Alps, along the French-Italian border and reaches into Switzerland. Due to the high altitude and extreme alpine environment, only specialized Strahlers are able to prospect for specimens there, making fine mineral specimens few and far in between.

An interesting, multi-layered specimen with intricate stepped fluorite growths resembling the sharp highs and lows of a cityscape. The colourless crystals are exceptionally water-clear, with phantoms of gentle greens and yellows throughout.

Finding a glassy Le Beix fluorite is no easy feat; which is what makes this specimen special. The fluorite cube is so translucent, one can see the blue and yellow phantoms within. The colours remind one of a blue-green sea, with the matrix resembling a sandy beach. A beautiful Le Beix find.
