Gorgeous, tricolour La Barre fluorite with yellow to sunset orange phantoms, sharp purple zonings and blue phantoms on the outermost edges. Very glassy and transparent!

Presumably the most widely-known fluorite locality in France, the La Barre mine, which was worked from 1918 until 1948, had a large fluorite-quartz vein hosted in migmatites, but all adits have since closed. The deposit is known for producing blue and yellow fluorite specimens, sometimes with blue and purple zonings, or yellow phantoms.

Delicate rose pink to red fluorite crystals perched aesthetically on a jagged formation of smoky quartz; an uncommon and highly sought-after combination in alpine mineral specimens. The sharp, well-formed octahedral crystals contrast beautifully with the pointed quartzes, in both form and colour.

An elegant, well-defined rhombohedral sculpture, with overlapping calcite formations giving it a neat geometric aesthetic. Fittingly cream-coloured, this pristine piece displays beautifully like a mystical monument.
