A nice example from the Maraval mine, this well-formed specimen is made up of an intricate, neat network of translucent fluorite cubes which contain the characteristic red hematite and black inclusions. Some of the inclusions also grew outside/atop the fluorite crystals like red snow.

An old fluorite mine in mylonite gneiss, a defining characteristic seen in specimens from this locality is the presence of red-brown or orange-red inclusions— actually hematite and siderite, captured inside the transparent fluorite cubes.

Finding a glassy Le Beix fluorite is no easy feat; which is what makes this specimen special. The fluorite cube is so translucent, one can see the blue and yellow phantoms within. The colours remind one of a blue-green sea, with the matrix resembling a sandy beach. A beautiful Le Beix find.

An interesting, multi-layered specimen with intricate stepped fluorite growths resembling the sharp highs and lows of a cityscape. The colourless crystals are exceptionally water-clear, with phantoms of gentle greens and yellows throughout.
