As with most Cambokeels Mine fluorite, this specimen features translucent colourless to white twinned crystals, and interestingly, with greyish-black chalcopyrite crystals forming the zonings within. There are also several clear cubic crystals growing alongside the main interpenetrating twin, providing a good contrast and aesthetic.

Sometimes called Cammock Eals, the Slitt Vein in this area was first worked by the Beaumont Company between 1847-1871 for lead, abandoned, then reopened for fluorspar in 1905 but worked on-and-off until 340 level by the time the mine closed in 1989, with the decline now flooded.

The water-clear clarity of the best Emilio fluorites can be hard to capture on camera, simply because the crystals are so transparent, one can see through it to see the matrix underneath or other crystals that grew alongside.
The highlight of this specimen is undoubtedly the completely perfect crystal that sits front and centre. The beautifully formed, bevelled-edged, jewel-like fluorite crystal is completely damage-free, smooth, gemmy and clear on all sides, so clear that you can see the micro chalcopyrite crystals within.

A gorgeous specimen from the Llamas Quarry, with the biggest crystal being a water-clear, tabular fluorite with a slightly bluish-violet tinge. There are also several other smaller crystals, some cubic, but with the same exceptional clarity, growing aesthetically alongside the focal one.

This Wilson Vein fluorite exhibits the classic colourless twinned crystals typical of this locality, though this is exceptionally gemmy and lustrous for the find. There is also a hint of violet zonings within the crystals.

A classic example from the Emilio Mine, this colourless specimen is completely glassy, with blue zonings and chalcopyrite inclusions throughout. The translucent appearance and glassy lustre is further enhanced by its beautiful etchings and “digital growths”-like formation.
